Dr Kerryn Loftus

​

Dr Loftus is a Consultant Psychiatrist. She obtanied her medical degree in South Africa in 2000, spending a number of years in clinical practice before moving to Australia where she completed her Specialist training in Psychiatry in 2015.

 

She has been working in Sydney since 2009 at Concord, Canterbury, and Royal Prince Alfred Hospitals.

 

She has worked primarily in the area of Old Age Psychiatry at the inpatient unit at Concord Hospital. She has completed her Master's Degree in Psychiatry and is a member of the Faculty of Old Age Psychiatry.

 

Dr Loftus has an interest in pharmacotherapy and the management of major mood and anxiety disorders. She also has an interest and passion in treating old age and neuropsychiatric disorders, including dementia.

 

Dr Loftus has a strong background in research and clinical trials and continues to be closely involved in both Medical Student, Junior Medical Officer, and Registrar training and supervision in the public sector.

 

Dr Loftus joined Tilley Lane in January 2016 and works part time from her rooms as well as seeing referred patients at local nursing homes. She continues to work part time in the public sector in Adult Psychiatry.
